This Privacy Policy explains how Mobile Artisans (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the mobile application Tamil News : Live TV 24x7 & FM (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below. The App is intended for users aged 18 and over and is offered free of charge, supported by advertising.
We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information directly to use the App. However, the following categories of information are collected automatically by the App and the third-party services it uses:
If you enable notifications, the App registers a device-specific push token with Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send breaking-news updates. You can disable notifications at any time from the App's Settings or your device's notification settings.
For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”):
The App relies on the following third-party services. Each service operates under its own privacy policy (linked below), and may collect information directly from your device:
| Service | Purpose | Their privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) | Primary ad network — serves banner, native, app-open, and rewarded ads. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) | Gathers GDPR / US-state consent choices and stores them on your device. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta Audience Network (Meta Platforms, Inc.) | Ad mediation source — some ads served via AdMob may be supplied by Meta. | facebook.com/about/privacy |
| Firebase (Google) — Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, Authentication, Realtime Database, Firestore | App analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, anonymous authentication, content delivery, and remote configuration. | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| YouTube (Google) — via the IFrame and Android player APIs | Embedded YouTube video playback for news clips. | policies.google.com/privacy and YouTube Terms of Service |
We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. The only parties that receive data from the App are the service providers listed above, and only to perform the functions described.
The App uses Google Play Services, a platform-level service provided by Google LLC, to power several features including Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, remote configuration, content delivery), Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), and Google's User Messaging Platform. As part of providing these features, Google Play Services may automatically collect the following information from your device:
This information is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service. Google Play Services is required for the App to function correctly on most Android devices.
The App embeds video content using YouTube API Services (specifically the YouTube IFrame Player API and the YouTube Android Player API). By installing or using this App, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
The App itself does not collect or persistently store any user data from the YouTube API Services. Data retrieved through the YouTube API (such as video metadata, thumbnails, and stream URLs) is held only in transient memory while a video is being prepared for playback, and is discarded shortly after — typically within 30 minutes of retrieval — or immediately when the App is closed, whichever comes first. We do not associate this data with any individual user.
When you watch an embedded YouTube video, YouTube itself may collect information about your interaction with that video as described in the Google Privacy Policy. This data is collected by Google directly and is not made available to us.
You may revoke this App's access to your Google data at any time by visiting Google's security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The App itself does not set browser cookies. However, third-party libraries embedded in the App (such as Google Mobile Ads, embedded YouTube players, and any in-app web views that load external news pages) may use cookies, local storage, or similar device-level identifiers to deliver, measure, or personalize their content. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the App's storage from Android Settings. Refusing or clearing such identifiers may limit some functionality (for example, ad frequency capping or video resume).
The App displays headlines and excerpts that link out to news articles, videos, and audio streams hosted by independent third parties (publishers, broadcasters, YouTube channels, radio stations). Tapping a story may open the publisher's webpage in an in-app browser or in your default browser. We do not own, operate, or control these external sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit. Any complaints regarding third-party content (including takedown or copyright requests) should be addressed to the original publisher; you may also notify us at webuildapps101@gmail.com and we will forward the request or remove the link from our feed where appropriate.
Where required by law (for example, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or US states with applicable privacy laws), we will ask you to choose whether you consent to personalized advertising the first time you open the App. You can change your choice at any time through your device's Reset advertising ID setting or by re-opening the consent options if surfaced in the App.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, email webuildapps101@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are a resident of California or another US state with applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. However, the use of advertising identifiers for personalized advertising may be considered “sharing” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). To opt out, decline personalized ads in the in-app consent dialog, or email webuildapps101@gmail.com.
Our advertising and analytics partners listed in Section 4 may store and process information in the United States, the European Union, and other countries where they operate data centers. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA / UK, our partners rely on legal mechanisms recognized under GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect that data.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the App, including secure transport (HTTPS) for data in transit and reliance on the security practices of our service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not intended for and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” shown in the Contact section below indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or update screen. Continued use of the App after a change becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
